PROPOSALS FOR NEW TYPES OF MOLECULAR HAMILTONIANS

Abstract

The work submitted is an attempt to set up a method to obtain phenomenological molecular hamiltonians. Such operators are characterized by the experimentally determinable set of their components on a basis of operators in the molecular space of states. The latter can come out either from the lowest order of a perturbation method or more generally from symmetry considerations which play a leading part in this matter. The method will be illustrated by a sketch of its application to at least one example.
