Abstract
The vibrational infrared spectrum of dimethylsulfide-borane in the liquid $(25^{\circ} C)$ and solid ($-196^{\circ} C$) states was studied from 4000 to $400 cm^{-1}$ as well as the Raman spectrum of the liquid sample. In addition the vibrational spectra of $(CH_{3}){2}SB^{10}H{3}$ and $(CH_{3}){2}SBD{3}$ were studied. The observed frequencies of the various samples and their assignments will be discussed on the basis of a $C_{***}$ molecular model for dimethylsulfide-borane.
